Hello Everyone,
This week we will start taking orders for our new Solar Power Evaporative (swamp) Coolers. If you have contacted us before regarding these please contact Morgan (866-577-1861) or visit our website www.freetricity.com/howmuch.htm and place your order there.
Thanks
Glenn
I paid for a territory and upgraded to a whole house unit and still have not received my unit/s. I placed my order in June 2008 and it has almost been a year with no product to use myself and none to sell. Can anyone help me obtain my whole house unit and grid connect system?

I remitted an amount of $4500 to this company by TT. in september 2008. They promised to send me four number wind turbines by 20th Nov 2008. But they have not sent me any thingsince then and they donot reply to any telphone calls.

Hi, i am interested in your swamp coolers; I am currently building and making my own adobe bricks/home; I am at the stage where I need dimensions to leave a hole large enough to mount the cooler on my wall.
Also, does the cooler come with the battery: can I route your panel into my existing units (I am off the grid); can the coller be fed water by gravity or does there need to be pressure behind the hose? (using cistern/raincatch). What is the waranty on these units?
Also, wondering if your wind turbine can be patched into my existing PV system as well.

Glenn, thanks for the amp info but I am still struggling with the numbers because it still seems like your unit is using so much less power than a 120 volt ac unit. If I get one of these units, am I going to actually get 4500 cfm?

Doug,
The Solar Swamps are DC powered. The pump and the (geared) motor require less than a combined 78 total watts of power to operate.
The fan motor is rated at 5 amps and the pump 1.65 amps.
Thanks

Can you clarify, a 4500 cfm swamp cooler running off a 100 watt solar panel? Not only that, but you are claiming the panel will not only run the swamp during the day but produce enough power to charge a battery at the same time.
My experience with conventional swamp coolers tells me that a normal 4500 uses MUCH more power than that, 100 watts is less than 1 amp at 120 volts so can you assure me that this unit does not need a secondary power source and that the cfm really is 4500, not 450? I just don't see how a 1/3 or 1/2 horse power motor can start and run on the power you are claiming.

Mike
The larger unit (4500cfm) will use approx 4 gallons a day. The smaller 2500 cfm unit will use around 2.5 gallons per day.
Thanks

This is just another great idea! How much water will it use a day?

Gilbert,
It weighs approx 39 pounds.

How much does the 4500 weigh minus the solar panel?

Thanks Glenn.

Rod,
It depends what you want out of it but any deep cycle battery will suffice.
If you need more help contact Morgan at 866-577-1861.
Thanks

I don't see the battery on your website. Do you supply it or what do you recommend I get (type, size)?

Freetricity has swamp coolers you can use all day and night. You just need a 12 volt battery and it will cool your home while you sleep!
